Why is there a fee to join?

There are a number of reasons we ask for a small financial donation to join our events. These are:

  1. In the past, for events we haven’t charged for, we have a large number of people register and very few actually turn up. This means we incur costs for additional Zoom licences for webinars or bigger room hire for live seminars. When there is a monetary value attached, even the smallest amount, we get almost 100% of people showing up. This means we don’t waste our time and neither do you.

  2. At times, our speakers require payment to speak at our events.

  3. Our organisation is run by volunteers and there are many costs for us to bring events to you. The small donations don’t always cover costs but it all helps.

  4. We ask for a small donation to receive recordings of webinars that other people have paid to see live. It is only fair to those who paid for the live event that we are not then giving it away for free. Your small donation helps to keep our organisation going and we can continue to bring you informative events.

What if I can’t afford it?

We know times are tough. Many people’s worlds have been turned upside down. That’s the reason we are here, standing up. We don’t want you to miss out so if you can’t afford a donation but would still like to join one of our events please contact our team.
